Introduction

Florida Mesh is a community of operators running long-range, low-power radio networks across the state. The radios relay for each other, so coverage comes from the number of people participating rather than from any central site.

Two networks run here, on separate radio settings and separate software:

• Meshtastic is the larger and longer-established of the two.
• MeshCore is newer, with its own firmware and apps.

They do not interoperate. Pick either one, or run both on separate hardware. The documentation is split the same way: each section is complete on its own, and the settings in one do not apply to the other.

Getting started takes a supported radio and a phone. Follow the section for the network you are joining, match the settings for your part of the state, and you are on the mesh.
